The finished-work DM pack.
Every message leads with something useful. None of them asks for 15 minutes before the buyer has seen anything. Swap the brackets for real details.
Three rules:
- Write each one by hand. Never automate DMs.
- Only send to people who engaged with you first.
- Say you work with the company when you mention its product.
1. They liked your post
Saw you liked my post on [topic]. I ran the same check on [their company] last night. Here's what jumped out: [one specific finding]. Happy to send the full version, no call needed.
2. They commented
Thanks for the comment on [post]. You mentioned [their point]. I put together a 2-minute walkthrough of how [client product] handles exactly that: [link]. Worth a look?
3. They viewed your profile
Noticed you stopped by. I've been writing about [problem] for [buyer title]s. This teardown might be useful for [their company]: [link]
4. They posted about the problem
Your post about [their problem] hit home. I rebuilt [the thing they described] in [time] last week. Before and after here: [link]. Curious if it matches what you're seeing.
5. Mini audit
I looked at [their page / process / pricing] this morning. Three quick things I'd change: 1) [x] 2) [y] 3) [z]. Want the reasoning behind each?
6. They asked a question
Good question. Short answer: [answer]. Longer answer with screenshots: [link]. If it helps, I can show you on your own data. Takes 15 minutes.
7. Second follow-up (no reply)
Bumping this once in case it got buried. No worries if the timing's wrong. Here's the [teardown / audit] either way: [link]
8. Booking the meeting
Glad it's useful. The person who can show you this on your real numbers is [AE name] at [client]. Here are two times that work: [time 1] or [time 2]. Or grab one here: [calendar link]
9. After a no-show
Missed you today, totally fine. Want me to send two new times, or would a recorded walkthrough be easier?
10. Closing the loop
Thanks for the chat with [AE]. Whatever you decide, here's the checklist we went through so you have it: [link]
